In addition to speeding up the loan approval process, the Credit Union Board of Directors recently voted to increase the limits of Signature loans up to $10,000 and Visa card limits to up to $25,000.

Previously, the loan approval process took up to one week and was determined by the loan committee. Under the new procedures, loan officers will review the loan application as soon as it is submitted, and may approve the loan in about 24 hours if it falls within the Credit Union’s risk guidelines.

Other loans, such as the Credit Revival Loan, are available for members who are trying to improve their credit history and score.

If your Visa card is lost or stolen, you can call Visa Customer Service for help, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The actions you need to take depend on where you are. If you’re close to home, immediately contact the Loyola Credit Union, 708.216.4500, during normal business hours (7 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday) to report the loss or theft and arrange for a replacement card to be mailed to you.

• After hours, contact the VISA customer service center at 800.322.8472 for reporting a lost or stolen credit card.
• To report a lost or stolen VISA debit card, call 800.532.4175.

You should keep a copy of all emergency phone numbers and your Visa account number in a convenient place-separate from your card.
